think he may have opted for that when he changed the design, might be simply a personal visual preference or directly related to his re-design.

More to feast your eyes on, it gave me a few problems today which had me looking for a m3 tapper. One of the motor cases wouldn't tighten up due to a crap internal thread. I changed all the washers on my pulleys and sorted out the belts which look ok! Not sure how much tension to apply  :hmm:

Fitted the heat bed slightly different to instructions so I don`t have to mess with plate mounting screws as I undue the butterfly nuts. I locked them with small nuts and washers inside the springs  I can see me moving things about when it comes to the wiring, birds nest starting to build up. Slowly learning but I still have no idea what I`m doing  ::)

Nice but its making me want another printer

Done some more, progress is slow

One of my limit switches missed the roller plate so I had to file more slots in the acrylic to adjust it up.

Having fitted the 90deg corner supports it stopped the control bracket fitting, might move it anyway when the printer is working  :crossfingers:

Now for the birds nest  :o Those Delta printers would look neater for hiding the wiring  I might move most of the electrics up top due to most powered gear being at the top anyway. That would be a later project if I ever get round to it.

All the bits are on now apart from the glass bed, wiring next  :wack0  :frantic:

Left it for a while as I had trouble getting the tension right, it kept pulling the top rail out of true. In the end I had to mark the belts so I could get the same tension on each side otherwise the force pulled it out of square. Now its accurate down to the last tooth :huh

Hope I,m not boring you too much but someone said load it with pictures. Made my mind up about the wiring, didnt like all the plastic around warm boxes of electronics and I got my hand on this aluminium channel. Just the job  ~~ Its big enough to get another supply in if I need it but I will have to extension the SD card holder and the soft touch control board FF cable.

Not boring at all mate, it's good to see the progress  :bounce:

I did think about mounting the electrics underneath but there is more motors and electrical stuff up top all those wires would peeee me off. So the box will go up top and then I just have two motor wire to run upwards. In theory  :-/  Hopefully a neater job. :crossfingers:

I found that old drill 18 years ago down the bottom of the garden in an old leaky shed kitchen cabinet drawer that had jammed shut. The previous house owners left it, its been hammered to death and refuses to die  ::) God knows how long it was hidden away.
