Well it arrived a couple of days ago but I cant start the build till some alloy 90deg supports turn up.  :cry I just go and look at it from time to time. I have cleaned all the bits and done a stock check  ~~

The frame doesn't come with any, some have printed supports but others recon the best thing is the alloy supports. Cheap enough from Bangood, thought Id get some proper T nuts to go with them.

Got my 90deg brackets now waiting on some Hex socket cap head screws turning up. The original pozi/phillips head screws feel really slack the threads are naff. Tried better quality bolts in alloy frame threads are fine.

My bolts turned up this morning so I can start building now  :frantic:

~~ My other half is not to impressed with small packages that turn up. I just say its cheap Chinese bits only cost £3 but I have to think of something else to say now  :hmm:

trebor

This is where I`m at now, I got some normal T nuts for these brackets but not sure how many to fit on the top. They might start stopping the carriage fully moving.

IMG 2812" border="0

Do I fit any on the bottom inside  :hmm:

you can pick up twist in t-nuts later if you find its not rigid enough but generally you should be alright as is, I have a tried and tested stl I made and used for twist ins while building my new PolturXL if you want it, you can just print some out if and when then. ~~

Well I got them in ok and squared off the frame which was not too bad. Main problem now is the top moving rail roller thingy which is pretty crappy, it has quite a lot of play and the rollers will not adjust. They had even fitted 6mm oversized washers on 5mm bolts for the belt guide which caused them to run cockeyed. Lucky I had some 5mm oversized to replace them. :wack0 Might have a moan on Tronxy facebook page :banghead:

Still got a problem with the outside rollers on the top, I slotted the two outside holes so I can tighten the rollers a bit. When I get it printing I will be able to update the plates.

trebor

Sorted my rollers out for now until I can make them adjustable, did a bit more today and this is as far as I got. :huh  Next step is the top belts  :frantic:

this might be worth a nose through once your up and running.

looks like the designer pretty much went through all the issues youve spotted and/or likely will, his solutions seem appropriate and well thought through also

That one looks slightly different, mine have the front roller doubled up so maybe the belt pattern has changed
