I think Ive sused out the issue with this filament and I have to say its more me and my lack of experience than the actual filament, I changed over to my other machine and printed a filament stand which came out fine, and then did a lithophane also fine but on the second lithophane I had problems, and ended up with a blocked heat break which lead me to the conclusion i was setting it to high at 210 and the heat was traveling up the filament and melting it in the heat break and causing jams which the extruder would manage to push out but it woud show as under extruded lines until it had moved it, so with this knowledge I set a print at 200 it went fone no problems and the print looks good it is now doing a print at 195 and its loooking good, so it looks like I was wront to slag this filament off and it does actually work fine but is maybe a bit more critical about temp, I will share some pics a bit later.  ~~

Sounds like its either got a very precise and/or tempermental melt zone or your temp adjustment offset a deeper issue enough to make it usable. Sounds far to unreliable to not only print with but to depend on afterwards even if it looks good :cry

Yea it appears to have different melt temps when cleaning it out this time I actually saw it drip like liquid wtf  this stuff simply isnt consistent my printers have run all sorts of filaments through and done a fair amount of printing and never had this issue before

well you can do one of two things.

persevere and try further adjustments to your settings and hope you find the sweet spot (though I suspect going by your description the sweet spots probably different ever couple of metres )

or

notch it down to another (tbf neverending when its 3d pritning) lesson learnt and move one.

option 2 makes the most sense to me as you yourself know your hardware isnt at fault as its worked as expected with other rolls.

I have received a free replacement roll of filament from 3DQF and they assure me the problem cannot accure again as they have not installed laser micrometers on the production line, I really hope it was an isolated bad roll as indicated, and I will repost here once Ive tried the replacement  ~~
