I gave up on that E011 Whoover model for now! I went back to look for it and could not locate it, so maybe others flagged and its been withdrawn
This afternoon while doing other things have been printing "N" gauge buildings.
I'd had a mtnce session with the Fabrikator which had not had exercise for some weeks and altered the lighting arrangement to use a COB strip. For now its just wedged into the case (quite securely), and powered from an old phone charger PSU. So it had a good clean up and lubricate, the light mod, and has been chuntering away since. Oh, and my magnetic bed seemed to have lost some "pull", so while it wasn't actually slipping, I still added a couple more magnets.
It's just completed the third building and I have started another. Will have a lot of painting to do shortly! And the excuse for another scenic board...........
Wind, Rain AND a MR flying ban, and only 5C all day today, so time to build models instead.

Except it isn't............ "but these ducts are both the wrong diameter AND the wrong spacing"

Mr "Badassdrones" has issued a 3D printed Whoover v5 for E011 (7mm motors), so I thought it would be rude not to do one, and coincidentally another E011 had just arrived.
And................. I'm puzzled.
I have printed three of the major parts on my i3 Mk3 using the same settings, the upper and lower body, and the two motor holding lift ducts (one piece).
And they don't fit together!
The outer shapes match well, but in the case of the bodies they have pins in holes, which do not line up by quite a margin, and while the ducts outer shape is non-critical, the inner shape of the two ducts are supposed to pass through the body upper to both smooth airflow and strengthen the model, but these ducts are both the wrong diameter AND the wrong spacing.
Obviously scaling one body may (or may not) solve the pins issue but would then upset the outer join.
I can remove the pins and/or dremel out the base holes to fit the three parts together, but I don't think it likely that the guy would issue such a poor fitting set of parts, so I'm left wondering what's going on.
Looking good mate keep us posted on the progress
Got myself a new printer. The build has been mostly easy (given some omissions in the instructions, and a lack of cable ties). It really need something to cool the part as it prints out of the box but Thingiverse and someone being able to print abs will solve that ( thanks gaz)
The psu that's come with mine may be defective but won't know till Tuesday
Plan is for me to print tpu and pva for supports but we will see what happens when I finish it...
Here's a new beta version of the v2 DWC it looks very nice and seems stable Duet DWC V2 Rc6
